Gmail Priority Inbox

A little after noon today I saw a new tab on my Gmail account announcing Gmail Priority Inbox in Beta was now available for me. Of course I immediately clicked to play with the new toy.

It presented a sample of about 8 emails sorted as a Priority and Everything Else. I changed one from EE to P and indicated I wanted to use it. All of my email was then sorted.

Now when I go to Gmail I see Important and Unread, Starred, and Everything Else. I can quickly move to the traditional mailbox, by going to the left sidebar and selecting “Inbox” and switching back by selecting “Priority Inbox”.

Considering I receive over 100 emails a day it shouldn’t take long to see how good Gmail gets at determining what is Important to me.
